We all have those days where we can’t seem to get out of that funk. Here are some things I do to help get into a better mood…some of these things may sound a little silly and simple, but they work for me so give it a shot if your having one of those downer days!

1) Reflect on how lucky you really are and the bright spots in your life. I have 3 amazing kids, a beautiful supportive wife and a loving yet smelly dog. I get to live in the best country in the world, with the freedom to work from home. I have a roof over my head and food in my belly…doesn’t get much better then that!

2) Crank your favourite happy song! I do this as soon as I sit down to my computer in the morning.

3) Laugh!…alot. This actually releases chemicals in your brain that will improve your mood.

4) Be nice…I always feel better when in a funk if I force myself to shower others with compliments. Making others feel good about themselves always comes back full circle.

5) Get physical..take this one anyway you like, but physical activity always gives me a jump start.
