Entrepreneurial roles tend to attract persons with Type-A personalities, those consistently described as highly focused, meticulously organized, and driven to accomplish self-assigned agendas. While this may aptly describe the personality of many entrepreneurs, it is not a requirement for self-employment.
There are demands that being self-employed does create, and no matter what personality traits you may have, it is good to embrace the entrepreneurial lifestyle wholeheartedly. Making honest assessments and organizing your business in a way that allows you to handle any areas in which you personally come up short, will give you time to relax and enjoy the many benefits.

Being your own boss can be very motivating. No one micro-manages your decisions and actions and deflates your sense of self-direction. There is no one whose agenda you must take on when your own ideas and preferences lead you in a new direction. On the other hand, it is totally up to you to get motivated if you are in a slump. That doesn’t mean you have to get there without any assistance or coaching. Resources can assist you to set smart and realistic goals and make measurable strides in beneficial directions. Seek motivational help when you need it. You will be glad that you did.
